Executive Vice President, Talent & Casting | Universal Television
Kimberly Hope serves as Executive Vice President, Talent & Casting for Universal Television, once of the largest and most successful studios in the world.
In her role with UTV, Hope leads the team responsible for casting notable projects such as the Emmy-award winning “Hacks,” Dick Wolf’s enormously successful “Law & Order,” “One Chicago” and “FBI”-branded series, “Happy’s Place,” “St. Denis Medical,” “The Four Seasons,” “A Man on the Inside,” and the upcoming “The Rise and Fall of Reggie Dinkins.”
Previously Senior Vice President of Casting for Warner Bros. Television, Hope supervised casting for projects including Ted Lasso (Apple TV+), Mrs. Davis (Peacock), The Cleaning Lady (Fox), The Sex Lives of College Girls (HBO Max), Shrill (Hulu), Time Traveler's Wife (HBO), Lucifer (Fox/Netflix), The Leftovers (HBO), Christmas on the Square (Netflix), Lethal Weapon (Fox), The Vampire Diaries (CW), Powerless (NBC), and many more.
One of her signature initiatives at WB was developing and managing the Warner Bros. TV "Actors In Training" program, a worldwide virtual open call for collegiate-level acting students whose studies were interrupted due to the pandemic. The outreach was specifically designed to include not only traditional top-tier institutions but programs in underserved and underrepresented communities as well. The inaugural "Actors In Training" effort drew close to 7,000 participants from 400+ schools across the globe.
Prior to joining Warner Bros. Television, Hope was a Director of Feature Casting at Paramount Pictures. Her projects included: World War Z (Dir. Marc Forester), The Wolf Of Wall Street (Dir. Martin Scorsese), Labor Day (Dir. Jason Reitman), Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (Dir. Kenneth Branagh), Anchorman: The Legend Continues (Dir. Adam McKay), Flight (Dir. Robert Zemeckis), Paranormal Activity 4 (Dir. Henry Joost & Ariel Schulman), G.I. Joe Retaliation (Dir. Jon M. Chu), Pain & Gain (Dir. Michael Bay), Star Trek Into Darkness (Dir. J.J. Abrams), Nebraska (Dir. Alexander Payne), Interstellar (Dir. Christopher Nolan) and more.
Hope began her career as an independent film and TV Casting Director based in New York, most notably casting across NBC/UTV's "Law & Order" franchise. Her contributions to the series led Hope to be named one of the "Top 25 Power Casting Directors in Film and TV" by Backstage.
Hope is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Casting Society of America, Film Independent, and Women In Film.
