Artist Bio

Andrew Kimler is a half Sicilian, half jewish, and ALL Long Island writer, producer, and performer. He’s a 2020 Sundance Maker’s Lab Fellow who’s recently written on the Reddit digital show PS Battles Live! and wrote three episodes of the animated series May Day on Quibi (RIP). Andrew has developed for MTV and Funny or Die as well as two shows for the American Sports Network. His work has been seen on Comedy Central, Fox, Vox, NowThis, Fast Company, BarkBox, Glamour Magazine and even a random Gold Bond commercial. Andrew also co-created and hosted the digital series I Love You, You’re Wrong for Newscorp. In 2019 he went to Just For Laughs (Montreal) to pitch the half hour comedy Scoutmasters as well as Just For Laughs (Vancouver) to pitch his film Cops & Robbers. Andrew studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC, later receiving a Media BA from SUNY Empire.

Artist Bio

Antony Hall: Antony is an actor, writer, and improv comedian from Lethbridge, Alberta. After graduating from MacEwan University’s Theatre Arts Program, he moved to Toronto to pursue a career in film. A graduate of the Second City Conservatory, Antony performs with the improv teams Gentleman Frog and Darth Vader Ginsburg, hip-hop, comedy duo Whyte Wyne and Young Riesling, and co-hosts the wrestling podcast Book It Vince!

Antony was the co-creator and co-writer of the web series MING’S DYNASTY (2019, CBC GEM), nominated for Best Web Program or Series (Fiction) at the Canadian Screen Awards (2020). He played the lead in the comedy short film I’M NOT A ROBOT, premiering at Just For Laughs Eat My Shorts (2022).

Antony’s experience working as an actor at an immersive escape room inspired his current, in-development sitcom series, THE GREAT ESCAPE (co-created with Jason Speir).

Artist Bio

Jason Speir: Jason is a Toronto-based writer and director with a passion for fusing genres to tell unique, meaningful stories. After graduating from Western University, he worked as a professional engineer before pursuing a career as a writer.

Jason’s writing and directorial debut came with his comedy short film I’M NOT A ROBOT, premiering at Just For Laughs Eat My Shorts (2022). His work has been selected as a Semifinalist and awarded Top 25 Thriller & Horror Category at the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards (2020, LIE MAROON), and Quarterfinalist in ScreenCraft’s TV Pilot Script Competition (2021, THE GREAT ESCAPE).

Jason is a partner at the independent production company HYST Films, where he works as a writer, director, and producer, leading the creative development of original, narrative content.

Artist Bio

Keisha Zollar is a comedian, showrunner, producer, and writer. She's currently a consulting producer on the limited Hulu series about Mike Tyson. She recently finished working on Young Love, the adaptation of the Oscar short Hair Love. In 2020, she worked on Spitting Image for BritBox, the animated series Agent King on Netflix, and was the co-EP on Sketchy Times with Lilly Singh. She's also one of the co-creators and stars of Netflix’s Astronomy Club: The Sketch Show. In 2019, she executive produced and showran The Read With Kid Fury & Crissle on Fuse and became the head writer on Busy Tonight. As a human, Keisha is a big picture, problem solving, bleeding heart, Type-A intellectual that grew up like a de facto Huxtable on both American coasts. She's a California neurotic with some New York chill. Keisha got her B.A. in Communications and Theater at the University of California, San Diego.

Artist Bio

Lucy J. Lesser is a showrunner, director, and producer with nearly two decades of experience in scripted and unscripted content. Her career has been fraught with danger: she found left behind cluster bombs in Laos for NatGeo’s Explorer, directed seven seasons of teenage meltdowns on MTV’s hit docuseries My Super Sweet 16, and most terrifyingly, she survived a season as a producer on The Apprentice. She uses comedy as a tool to make difficult and grim topics more easily understood and digestible in the hopes of increasing awareness and fostering dialogue. This was the main thrust of her work as a producer on Comedy Central’s politically oriented The Opposition with Jordan Klepper and on the follow-up longform docu-series Klepper. She served as the Showrunner for PBS Digital Studios’ Emmy nominated documentary series Self-Evident. She is a graduate of Hampshire College and lives in Portland, Oregon, which is not actually on fire (most of the time).

Mark Riccadonna is a professional comedian who has toured globally, playing theatres and clubs. While touring, Mark found time to thrive as an on-air host for talk radio out of NJ, performing in an Off Broadway hit, "Happy in the Poor House." Recently Mark landed the role of "Cooler "in The new Pilot Un$uited with Dan Lauria, "The Devils Tree," "The Days of Power," and "Game Night." Mark worked as a voice-over actor, directed the play "The Boom," a pilot he co-wrote called "Radio Gods," Theatre 68's" Saint it Isn't So" and "Through Open Doors," and was a contributing writer for SNL's "Weekend Update." Because of his attitude, he is considered fun and easy to work with, making Mark a gifted storyteller with a charisma that makes you feel like you've known him forever.

Davida was instrumental in growing the reach of the Minutes to more than eight million views annually, with more than 80,000 airings annually across more than 60 stations per year. Davida produced more than 20 Heritage Minutes, wrote three and established a framework for community consultations, diversity and inclusion for the series. Davida won the 2018 Telefilm NEW VOICES AWARD for her animated children’s pilot, Who What Clara Goes to The Internet. She was selected for the WIFT-T Mentorship and Digital Series Incubator in 2018. It’s also the perfect opportunity to reset and forget the demons of her past. Following a lukewarm reception from his family, LT joins the male dominated police force where she’s partnered with the sad, mustachioed, Warren.

After an irate plumber complains of being hit by falling poo for the second time, his dead body is later found floating in a Zorb (giant inflatable orb) off the Taranaki coast. Accompanied by Warren and a pride of macho Kiwi cops, LT starts investigating the bizarre death, which affords her some much needed time away from home, where her new mother-in-law is still processing LT’s secret marriage to Regan.

In 2007, Mills stopped watching TV and created his sketch comedy series The Millen Baird Show for TV3, which was nominated Best Comedy at the 2009 NZ Film & TV Awards. In 2011, he co-created the comedy series Auckland Daze for TVNZ about 4 losers trying to ‘make it’ in NZ’s tiny entertainment industry. The semi-autobiographical series won Best Comedy Script at the 2012 and 2014 NZ Writers Guild Awards. In 2017, Mills released Darryl. Molly Brady is a writer who cut her teeth at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York. Fully realizing the potential in her University of Texas history degree with the sketch RuPual Revere Rides Again.

In 2017, Molly optioned a superpower comedy pilot developed for rapper Sean Combs to Sailor Eve Films in development with Paul Hunter at Prettybird. She was later selected to pitch a pilot rewrite to Paul Hunter and Dr. Dre for their series, Vital Signs.

In 2020, DC Universe green-lit Cosplay Clash, a maker's game show created by Molly. The pilot was set to air in connection with the 2020 summer theatrical release of Wonder Woman 1984.

Previously, Molly was an award-winning digital media specialist with the Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Sounders FC, and New York Red Bulls for seven seasons and a Super Bowl win.

Shawn Parikh is currently a Staff Writer on NIGHT COURT. After nailing a kiss and a single line in Bye Bye Birdie in 9th grade, Shawn knew two things for sure: he loved showbiz and he did not love women. Being a gay Indian-Texan-American pursuing a creative career, he is an uberbrown sheep—although, he did his best to make his parents proud with a forced-and-useless degree in PoliSci and a forced-and-sometimes-useful Master’s in Psych. A student of improv, standup and sketch at UCB & Groundlings, he appeared on shows like Outsourced, Cougar Town, What/If, and Mom. In addition to writing and starring in an independent pilot BAD INDIANS with Devanshi Patel and a spoof of HBO's The Night Of for Funny or Die, Shawn's short film KHOL (open), starring Sarayu Blue, played a global festival circuit. Siobhan starred in all 6 seasons of the hit NZ comedy/drama, Outrageous Fortune. She’s been nominated for 3 best supporting actress awards and one best actress award at the NZ Film and TV Awards. In 2015, she won Best Unproduced Feature at The NZ Writers’ Guild Awards. After an epic IVF journey in 2018, Vorny wrote, voiced, produced and animated the sperm series, Slow Pete, for TVNZ on Demand. Drew Dunn is a standup comedian that has quickly made a name for himself with his quick wit and unique point of view. After starting comedy out of New Hampshire in 2014, Drew has since moved to New York City to continue his pursuit of stand up.

Drew was featured as a New Face of Comedy at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal in 2019. He also won multiple other comedy competitions including the Boston Comedy Competition in 2017 and the Seattle International Comedy Competition in 2018.

Stephen Payette is a writer, actor, improviser, and stand-up comedian from St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. Stephen is a recent graduate of the UCLA School of Theatre, Film and Television Professional Program in Screenwriting. In 2019, Stephen honed his improv and sketch abilities while training and performing at The Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles.

Synopsis

“Boomerang” as a verb means “to return to the originator, often with negative consequences." When things start to shut down due the pandemic, SARAH, 29, packs up her entire life and begrudgingly moves back home to spend the lockdown with her dysfunctional, neurotic, yet loving parents, JEAN & MARTY. Back in the familiar comfort of her childhood bedroom, she regresses to her adolescent self– wearing her 8th grade wardrobe, going through her diaries, and turning on her old flip phone. She relies on Facetimes with her exuberant bestie, KAITLYN, to keep her sane. She impulsively decides to call her middle school crush MATT and as fate would have it, he answers and there's a spark. When Matt appears at Sarah’s window unexpectedly, she’s forced to decide between satiating her decades old sexual dream or honoring her promise to her parents not to break the pod. Reclaiming her independence and throwing caution to the wind, she decides to make sweet love to Matt. Revelations of family secrets and COVID scares bring everything to a boil. Emotionally depleted, Sarah celebrates her 30th birthday knowing nothing will ever be the same. And maybe that’s not such a bad thing.

Based on true events, "Boomerang" is a heartfelt, funny, timely, and relatable tale about an entire generation of millennials who were forced to move home and suffered arrested development. A story about a family sticking together while falling a part.

Artist Bio

Rylee is a Forbes 30 Under 30, Telly Award winning, comedy director and writer. She's currently in the DGA's Episodic TV Program 2022 which pairs seasoned TV directors with protégés for one year in order to help them land their first episode. As a successful commercial director, She's directed projects for some of the world’s largest brands, including Kellogg's, Disney, Facebook, State Farm, Amazon, Snapchat, Dr Pepper, ESPN, Zillow, and Google. She’s worked with numerous high-profile talent and comedians including Seth McFarland, Ben Schwartz, Tom Felton, Nicholas Braun, Brittany Snow, Alfonso Ribeiro, James Marsden, Sky Katz, Sherry Cola, Zuri Adele, Jay Williams, Doris Burke and Iliza Shlesinger. Storytelling is in her DNA, she’s the granddaughter of Hollywood actor Buddy Ebsen and comedian/advertising director Stan Freberg. Rylee is a graduate of NYU Tisch Film & TV and studied improv, character, and sketch at The Groundlings. US Reps, Tool of North America. UK Reps, Kode, Canada Reps, Steam Films. Sleepover Mom

Synopsis

Set in a corporate suburb of Texas, Sleepover Mom is a dark comedy about a perfectionist mom who finds out her aloof husband has been cheating on her with a neighborhood acquaintance named Karen. In order to keep her perfect middle-class suburban life, she now has to confront her husband, force him to end his relationship, bury his mistress in the backyard and get back all before her son and his friends wake up for breakfast.

Artist Bio

Sarah Tollemache is a stand-up comedian and writer. In 2017 she appeared on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’. Tollemache followed that up with another late-night appearance, this time on ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’. She has also appeared on Comedy Central’s ‘Roast Battle’. When she’s not touring comedy clubs around the country Sarah can be found online creating short films for her monthly short film festival, At Home Film Festival.

Artist Bio

Andrew Kimler is a half Sicilian, half jewish, and ALL Long Island writer, producer, and performer. He’s a 2020 Sundance Maker’s Lab Fellow who’s recently written on the Reddit digital show PS Battles Live! and wrote three episodes of the animated series May Day on Quibi (RIP). Andrew has developed for MTV and Funny or Die as well as two shows for the American Sports Network. His work has been seen on Comedy Central, Fox, Vox, NowThis, Fast Company, BarkBox, Glamour Magazine and even a random Gold Bond commercial. Andrew also co-created and hosted the digital series I Love You, You’re Wrong for Newscorp. In 2019 he went to Just For Laughs (Montreal) to pitch the half hour comedy Scoutmasters as well as Just For Laughs (Vancouver) to pitch his film Cops & Robbers. Andrew studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC, later receiving a Media BA from SUNY Empire.
