CBC Comedy and Just For Laughs have once again teamed up to present the CBC Comedy Pitch Program – an open forum pitch program for Canadian citizens or permanent residents. The CBC Comedy Pitch Program offers five creator/producer teams the opportunity to pitch their original web or TV concepts to a panel of senior development executives and key creatives from CBC Comedy. CBC is a longtime partner of Just For Laughs ComedyPro, having discovered both new TV and digital-facing series such as How To Buy A Baby, Newborn Moms, My 90-Year-Old Roommate and the upcoming Diversity League at our Stand Up & Pitch program.
There will also be a 15-minute open question period at the end of the session. The winner will receive a free trip (flight, hotel and festival pass) to the 2020 edition of the Just For Laughs Festival.
Moderator: Nicole Stamp (Television Host, Actor, Director, Writer)
Andrew Phung (Actor, Kim’s Convenience)
Rakhee Morzaria (Creator, Note To Self)
