Peter Putka- Executive Producer Development & Production – Some Spider Studios
Peter is an EMMY award winning Producer/Director and digital media investor. He started out as a lowly (but well paid) ghostwriter on Hollywood films and also wrote the screenplay for the Leonard Cohen film “The Favourite Game” in Canada. Peter worked as a script and acquisitions consultant for various production companies and distributors both in Canada and Hollywood, but never once had to go to rehab. Prior to Some Spider, Peter worked as CCO and Executive Producer at P2Film and Refinerynyc in New York. He executive-produced the hugely successful, multi-screen, comedic and irreverent web/TV integrated show – “WhileTheMenWatch” – in collaboration with CBC Sports.

At Some Spider, Peter helped launch the branded entertainment division for the ScaryMommy channel, directing content for brands such as Chrysler, Air Bnb, and H&M. Now the creative driving force behind the company’s latest original content initiative with Some Spider Studios – he helped create the company’s aggressive development fund & content incubator for established and up-and-coming talent. He is Executive Producer of Scary Mommy’s latest hit show Lullaby League starring Jim O’Heir (Parks & Rec).

He won an EMMY for directing “Imagine New York” and has worked with Harvey Keitel, Kevin Bacon, Yoko Ono, John Turturo and Lewis Black. Peter also enjoys writing about himself in the third person.
