Senior Vice President of Development and Original Programming, WarnerMedia’s truTV
Lesley Goldman is the Senior Vice President of Development and Original Programming for WarnerMedia’s truTV. In this role, she is responsible for all stages of development for the comedy network’s wholly original programming slate with creative oversight of pilots, series and specials. She is based in New York.
Goldman joined truTV in 2014 and has since overseen development for a number of the network’s current and past original scripted and unscripted series including Paid Off with Michael Torpey, Laff Mobb’s Laff Tracks, Hack My Life, Greatest Ever and You Can Do Better, as well as various projects and pilots in development. She was also the lead executive on truTV’s critically acclaimed, breakout comedic documentary, The Problem with Apu from comedian Hari Kondabolu.
Prior to joining truTV, Goldman spent eight years at MTV as a producer, showrunner and development executive for various a number of high-profile projects including Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life, Savage U with Dan Savage and three seasons of the series High School Stories, which she created and executive-produced. During her career, she also served as vice president of development for Picture This Television.
Goldman is an alumnus of the University of Wisconsin, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism.
