Malina Saval is a writer whose work has appeared in Los Angeles Times, LA Weekly, Glamour, the Jerusalem Post, Tablet, the Boston Globe, and several other leading publications on the national and international levels. She is the author of “The Secret Lives of Boys: Inside the Raw Emotional World of Male Teens” and the YA novel “Jewish Summer Camp Mafia.” She has lectured at colleges around the United States and has appeared as a guest on NPR’s “Talk of the Nation,” the Tavis Smiley show, CBS news and the Patt Morrison show. She’s currently associates features editor at Variety magazine where covers the film, TV and music beats and was recently nominated for an LA Press Club award for her essay on addiction in television.
