Brothers John and Dave Chernin were born and raised in Los Angeles. After high school, John went east to study English literature at Brown University, while Dave graduated from University of Southern California with a degree in communications.

The pair got their start writing for the acclaimed comedy “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” on which they spent six seasons and rose to the rank of co-executive producers. During that time, they also wrote and produced a pilot entitled “Pariah,” starring stand-up comedian Bill Burr. Most recently, Variety featured the brothers in the Top 10 Writers to Watch in 2016.

John and Dave currently reside a little less than a mile from one another in Los Angeles.
