Executive Producer, Original Programming & Development

Christine Walters serves as executive producer of development and original programming for truTV.  She is responsible for overseeing the production of truTV’s new original scripted series; Tacoma F.D. and Bobcat Goldthwait’s Misfits & Monsters, returning series, Jon Glaser Loves Gear and Those Who Can’t, in addition to truTV’s first-ever weekly, live comedy series, The Chris Gethard Show. She also participates in the development of new projects for the network. Walters first worked for truTV as a supervising producer on season one of the hit series Impractical Jokers in 2011 and as head writer on season two in 2012. She rejoined the network in 2014 in preparation for the major brand and programming refresh and served as the Executive Producer for truTV’s sketch-comedy series, Friends of The People, as well as the ground-breaking musical reality series, Branson Famous. Walters’ extensive writing, producing and development credits include Sesame Street, Iconoclasts, Shorties Watchin’ Shorties and the NPR radio series Ask Me Another. Walters is an original member of Mother, the award-winning improv troupe at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.
