Director, Head Of Comedy Originals – Hulu
Billy Rosenberg is a Director and Head of Comedy Originals at Hulu. Rosenberg oversees development and production for all half-hour comedies at Hulu including “Future Man”, “Casual” and “I Love You America with Sarah Silverman.” Prior to this, Rosenberg ran The Lonely Island’s company (Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer & Jorma Taccone) Party Over Here.
In his two years working with The Lonely Island, Rosenberg served as an Executive Producer on the TruTV series “I’m Sorry,” created by and staring Andrea Savage and the FreeForm series “Alone Together” a series created by and starring Esther Povitsky and Benji Aflalo. He also was a Producer on the feature film “Brigsby Bear,” written by and staring SNL’s Kyle Mooney, which debuted in January at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival in US Dramatic Competition and was released by Sony Pictures Classics. Additionally, Rosenberg collaborated with writer/director Joe Swanberg and was a co-producer on his Netflix series “Easy.”
Prior to this, Rosenberg was a longtime executive for Shawn Levy’s 21 Laps Entertainment. There, he developed and produced a number of movies including “The Spectacular Now,” “Date Night,” “The Watch,” “Table 19,” and “Fist Fight.”
Rosenberg got his start as an executive working for producer Lynda Obst when she had a deal at Paramount Studios. He is a graduate from the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts.
