Stand Up & Pitch 2019 – Beyond the Box: Playing it Short
Andrew Lamb is a queer artist based in Toronto who recently won a Canadian Comedy Award for his direction of the web series A Gay Victorian Affair. Andrew has received two Dora Award nominations (Toronto’s Tony Awards) for Outstanding Direction, has participated in the Director’s Lab at the Lincoln Center in New York, and trained at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London, England. In 2009 Andrew was the director and dramaturg for the musical-comedy hit My Mother’s Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding, written by Irene Sankoff and David Hein (Come From Away), which played for 15 weeks to over 50,000 people in Toronto, produced by Mirvish Productions. Andrew is also the Artistic Director of Roseneath Theatre – a professional Theatre for Young Audiences touring company that performs social justice and equity themed plays in schools and venues across North America.
