Tomii Crump currently serves as SVP, Talent Strategy at Fox Entertainment Studios where she oversees talentidentification and management for the studios’ verticals – scripted, unscripted, Tideline Films, animation, anddigital. Prior to joining FES, Tomii was a Non-Fiction Agent at Creative Artist Agency where she wasresponsible for identifying strategic opportunities for production companies like Hello Sunsine, LightHearted,Will Packer Productions, and BBC Studios to name a few.
Previously Crump was the Senior Vice President & Head of Unscripted Talent & Casting at NBCUniversalTelevision and Streaming where she oversaw unscripted talent, casting, talent relations, and celebritybookings for programming across Competition & Game Formats, Docuseries and Lifestyle, Live Events &Specials and Syndication Studios for NBC, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, Syfy, Universal Kids, USA, short form digital, andPeacock.
As the Head of Unscripted Talent & Casting, Crump serviced four Executive Vice Presidents and managed dayto-day relationships with marquee talent as well as their agents, managers, publicists, music labels, andproducers. In addition to identifying and fostering new relationships with talent, a large portion of Tomii’spurview included growing NBCU’s existing talent relationships. Examples of this include leading strategy &negotiations for larger overall talent deals and ensuring talent were connected to the entire portfoliowhether it was for an on-camera engagement, branded opportunities with Ad Sales, animated deals withDreamworks, high-level celebrity guests for NBC Sports, NBC News teams or procuring talent for Upfronts.Previously Crump was Senior Vice President, Talent & Casting for NBC Entertainment’s Alternative and RealityGroup where she serviced the NBC broadcast network, Universal Television Alternative Studios, UniversalInternational Studios, Daytime & Syndication, and Specials.
During her 5.5 years with the company, Crump oversaw talent for a slew of series including massiveinternational formats like Love Island, The Voice, America’s Got Talent, Password, and That’s My Jam. Inaddition to large formats, Crump was instrumental in the launch process for newer formats includingBarmeggedon, Snake in the Grass, Traitors, Celebrity Game Face, Celebrity Prank Wars, House of Villains, andQueen’s Court. On the Syndication side, Tomii was a part of the launch team for the Kelly Clarkson Show,where her most recent deals included Karamo Brown whose show Karamo launched in the fall of 2022 andAdrienne Bailon-Haughton’s return to a daily strip series as co-host of the newly relaunched E! News.
Beyond the individual series, Crump’s legacy at the company included the fact that she co-founded NBCU’sTalent Council. Under Tomii’s guidance, NBCU’s talent executives meet quarterly to collaborate andstrategize about talent across the portfolio. On the Comcast-NBCU Ad Sales side, Tomii created opportunitiesfor Becky G, Karamo Brown, Susan Kelechi Watson, Esther Dean, and others. Other initiatives she hadspearheaded in her half a decade at the company included the Talent Collective which brings a team of indemand talent executives in-house for limited contracts thereby increasing output while reducing overheadcosts and the Talent Bootcamp which provides on-camera talent with executive-level coaching & training.
Prior to NBCU Tomii spent 3.5 years at Disney-ABC, where she oversaw Talent for Current and Developmentfor the Syndication team before transitioning to the scripted casting team. During that time Tomii workedon“The Chew”, The View”, “Who Wants to Be A Millionaire”, “Tyra Banks Presents: Fab Life” and a host ofpilots.
Prior to Disney - ABC, Tomii held executive level roles at Warner Bros., TVLand, & BBC Worldwide America.She has a BA in Radio, Television, & Film from Temple University and an MA in Communication Studies fromCal State LA. Crump also participated and completed The Leadership Consortium which is led by HarvardBusiness School’s Frances Frei. In her spare time Tomii is a real estate entrepreneur who has been managingher rental properties for over 10 years. She & her partner Secdrick reside in Sherman Oaks, CA.
