Senior Vice President, Comedy Development, NBC Entertainment
Jeff Meyerson serves as Senior Vice President of Comedy Development at NBC Entertainment where he plays an instrumental role in creating the network’s revitalized comedy lineup, highlighted by the evolution of NBC’s critically acclaimed Thursday night slate.
In March of 2018, Meyerson was named head of the network’s comedy development team following his work on several acclaimed comedies including the award-winning “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “The Good Place,” as well as “A.P. Bio.,” from executive producer Seth Meyers and Lorne Michaels. For the upcoming fall season, Meyerson oversaw development of the highly anticipated series “Sunnyside,” starring Kal Penn and “Perfect Harmony,” starring Bradley Whitford.
Prior to his move to NBC in 2015, Meyerson served as Vice President of Original Programming at IFC, where he oversaw the final season of “Maron.” Meyerson previously spent six years at Fox, most recently as Director of Comedy Programming, where he shepherded the Golden Globe-winning “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” from its inception and initial run at Fox through to its current home at NBC.
In addition to his current responsibilities, Meyerson works with Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring underserved children and youth. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.
