Senior Vice President, Programming, Showtime Networks

Brendan is Senior Vice President of Programming at Showtime, working in both scripted comedy and drama series such as Sacha Baron Cohen’s WHO IS AMERICA, DESUS & MERO, OUR CARTOON PRESIDENT from Stephen Colbert as well as KIDDING starring Jim Carrey, and THE CHI from Lena Waithe. His newest project, ON BECOMING A GOD IN CENTRAL FLORIDA, from George Clooney and Grant Heslov starring Kirsten Dunst premieres on August 25.

Before Showtime, Brendan joined Hulu to start the comedy department in 2011. He oversaw the development and production of Hulu Original comedy series including Golden Globe® nominated CASUAL from Jason Reitman and Zander Lehman, DIFFICULT PEOPLE from Amy Poehler starring Billy Eichner and Julie Klausner, THE MINDY PROJECT starring Mindy Kaling, THE AWESOMES created by Seth Meyers and Mike Shoemaker, Emmy Nominated comedic docu-series BEHIND THE MASK, and Hulu’s first original comedy special from Robert Smigel, TRIUMPH’S ELECTION SPECIAL. Before leaving Hulu, Brendan brought in PEN 15 which would later go on to series.

Prior to Hulu, Brendan was a comedy writer and performer developing both half-hour and digital series for ABC Studios and Twentieth Century Fox.

After graduating from Georgetown University, he began his career in independent film at Fox Searchlight Pictures working on films such as THANK YOU FOR SMOKING (Jason Reitman), THE HILLS HAVE EYES (Alex Aja/Wes Craven) and NIGHT WATCH (Timur Bekmambetov)
