President and Executive Producer, Project 10 Productions Inc.
Based out of Toronto and Los Angeles, Andrew Barnsley is a Canadian Screen Award winning Executive Producer (Best Comedy Series). Barnsley is currently the Executive Producer on CBC/PopTV/Netlix’s 66 x 1/2 hour series Schitt’s Creek starring Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara, the TMN/Movie Central documentary series Sports On Fire (Leo Award winner) and the TMN documentary feature Spirit Unforgettable. Project 10 works closely with both American and Canadian broadcasting/studio partners and maintains a robust international comedy development slate. He previously was the Executive Producer on CTV’s 26 x 1/2 hour sitcom Spun Out starring Dave Foley. Prior to joining Project 10, Barnsley was the Development Director/Producer at S&S Productions, an independent television production company based in Toronto that has produced such international hits as The Red Green Show, Jeff Ltd., Hot Box, Sons of Butcher, and Listen Missy. Since 2001, Barnsley has produced television series across multiple genres including comedy, animation, puppetry, live-action, children’s, one-off documentaries, and a number of live concert specials.
In 2017, Barnsley became the Executive Producer in Residence for the Toronto Film School. In 2014, Barnsley was named The New Establishment by Playback Magazine.
He is a member of the CMPA and the Television Academy (USA) and holds an MA in Communications and Culture from Ryerson and York Universities, a BAA from Ryerson University’s Radio and Television Arts Program, a BA from Carleton University (Film Studies) and a BEd from St. Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
